Bulletin Letter – 4/30/23

Dear parishioners,

Many thanks for your support of the middle-school students in our parish who are planning to attend Damascus Catholic Summer Camp this summer!  Damascus is a solidly Catholic program, and they are intentional about cultivating a strong Catholic identity in young people.  Throughout the year, they host various events for students and adults, and their goal is always to help people think and pray from the heart of the Church.  We have 15 students who plan to attend and are excited to grow in their faith as they have some fun at the same time.  The cost per student to attend for one week is $500; your kind donations combined provided about $200 toward each student’s registration.  In addition to this, I have decided to supply another $50 per student from our Mission Fund, so that half of each student’s registration is covered.  I find this to be a very worthwhile cause and very much part of our mission, as this is an investment in our youth.  Thank you again for generously supporting the kids to help them make this happen!

Please continue to pray for our 2nd grade students, who will be making their 1st Communion next weekend.  This will certainly be a big day for them and a big day for the parish as well.  We celebrate with them and we pray that their continued reception of Communion every Sunday will strengthen them to continue growing in virtue, and to grow in their knowledge and love of Jesus.

Please also continue to pray for our parishioners who will be graduating in a few weeks.  We pray that, as they move forward in whatever their next step in life might be, they remain strong in the Catholic faith.  We pray that they might stay close to the sacraments and rely on the strength they provide so as to boldly live the faith in our culture which seems to be more and more estranged from the truth of Christ.

Blessings,

Fr. Ammanniti
