Dear parishioners,
I would like to extend a big THANK YOU to everyone who attended our parish cookout last weekend, and to all those who volunteered to make the event happen! I thought it was wonderful to once again gather in a large group as a parish family for a fun event. Special thanks to Dairy Queen for donating the burgers, to our Knights of Columbus for all of their work in setting up, cooking, and cleaning up, to our parish leadership team for organizing the event, and to all those who individually stepped forward to help with whatever needed done.
As we continue through the summer, we will continue to rotate the location of the Thursday morning Mass (check bulletin for location). However, once the school year begins in a month, the Thursday morning Mass will once again be in Payne because it will the weekly school Mass. This will begin with the first school Mass on Thursday, August 19.
On Wednesday, August 11, we will have the 8:00AM Mass followed by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament (adoration) in Paulding as we usually do, but The Gospel With Father will not be meeting that day because I will be attending a conference in Defiance for Catholic schools.
We are hoping to schedule some training sessions for any boys interested in becoming altar servers. Any boys who will be in third grade or older are eligible to sign up. If your son is interested, please call the parish office to let us know, and we will schedule some days for the training sessions.
Lastly, remember to save October 2 on your calendar for our annual wine tasting event. Please consider joining us for a good time and some good wine! If you have any questions, please contact the parish office.
Blessings to you all!
