Bulletin Letter – 7/25/21

Dear parishioners,

You might remember that last year, we implemented the electronic communication platform, Evangelus.  This platform makes it much easier for our parish leadership team to send communications to many people all at once, including, when necessary, to the entire parish.  Prior to having Evangelus, we had to go through the process of sending information separately through our parish website, then again through Facebook, then again through YouTube, then through emails, then through the parish app, etc.  Evangelus is a tremendous blessing for us because it allows us to streamline the process of getting information out to specific groups by whatever means each person prefers.  So, instead of having to send information out separately through each of the above-mentioned means, we are now able to send a single message through Evangelus, which will then send it to you through whichever electronic means you indicate.

Thank you to those who have already indicated to us which is your preferred way of receiving parish updates.  If you have not already done so, please take a moment to go to our parish website, where we will have the Evangelus link available.  When you click on this link, you will be able to mark your preferred method for receiving parish notices.  This will ensure that our records are up to date and that messages are being received when we send them out.

On a different note, the Jubilee Year of St. Joseph will conclude on December 8, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception.  Since Pope Francis decreed the Jubilee Year, many have inquired with me about the possibility of doing a parish-wide consecration to St. Joseph, as written in Fr. Donald Calloway’s book, Consecration to St. Joseph: the Wonders of Our Spiritual Father.  I would like to make this possible for anyone in our parish who might be interested.  My plan is to have two options available: one for whomever would like to gather in-person (details still being worked out), and a recorded version, which anyone will be able to access by going to our parish website.  This second option will allow people to go at their own pace and listen whenever is convenient for them, as we would leave the recordings on the website for a while.  More details will be coming as we work them out.  Stay tuned!

Blessings to you all!
