Don’t forget that this afternoon (Sunday) at 1:00, we will be hosting “Behold: A Concert of Sacred Music” at the Paulding church. As I mentioned in the bulletin the last few weeks, this concert is free and open to the public. Please come and enjoy some choral music that comes from the heart of the Church and gives glory Jesus at the same time! Please feel free to invite anyone who might want to come!
Tomorrow, August 15, is the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Per USCCB rules for Holy Days, this feast will not be a day of obligation this year because it falls on a Monday. However, for whomever would still like to attend Mass and celebrate the Solemnity, I will be celebrating Mass at 7:00 P.M. in Payne. This will be most convenient for me, as I will be at our school’s Open House immediately prior.
With our school year starting back up this week, I would like to once again invite the boys of our parish to consider becoming altar servers. All boys in third grade and older are eligible. Parents/guardians, if your boy(s) are interested in becoming altar servers, please contact the parish office. We will wait a few weeks to compile the list of names, and then we will schedule a date to do a group training session. We might need to schedule more than one session depending on the amount of interest, but if needed we can also make arrangements to train any new servers individually if the selected dates do not work for them.
