Hello everyone!
It is difficult to believe that the school year will begin on Wednesday of next week! Please say a prayer for all of our teachers and students as we roll into another year of learning, prayer, and growing closer to Christ. We offer a warm welcome to our new teachers and students, and we certainly look forward to seeing all of the familiar faces of our school as well!
Regarding our school Masses, they will continue to be on Thursdays, with the first one being next Thursday, August 19, at 9:15. At this time, we do not have much guidance on what schools will be expected to do if COVID restrictions are reinstated. This means, of course, that we are not sure if school Masses will remain “normal” or go back to being spaced out. However, we will keep you informed as we go. Regardless, please feel free to join us as we gather as a school community for the holy sacrifice of the Mass, which is without doubt the most important activity that we do all week. The Eucharist is not only the source and summit of our faith in general, but it is the source of identity for our Catholic school and the source of inspiration for all that we do. May the Lord continue to bless us in all our efforts to please him!
We plan to mail the annual financial report this week, so look for that to arrive in the coming days. I think you will be pleased with the information contained therein. I know I have mentioned this in past bulletin articles, but I am very grateful for your generous commitment to keeping our parish financially healthy so that we can continue our mission of providing the sacraments, spreading the Gospel, and ultimately seeking the salvation of souls here in Paulding County! I am especially grateful that we were able to support our parish as well as we did during a year when everything was sideways due to the pandemic. Many factors contributed to this, prominent among them is the reality that many parishioners chose to make use of the convenience of electronic giving. THANK YOU once again for all that you do and all that you sacrifice to make our parish operations possible!
Blessings to you all!
