June 14-15, 2025
Dear parishioners,
Now that summer is here, mark your calendars for our annual Vacation Bible School, which will be taking place from July 21-24 at Divine Mercy School in Payne. Note that the location is different than the last few years. The facilities on our school campus are air conditioned and will provide a comfortable environment for all involved; the availability of outside space will enhance this year’s activities. As usual, we can always use more volunteers to make this event run smoothly! If interested in having your children participate, or yourself participating as a volunteer, please let us know at the parish office.
Regarding other dates, please note that there will be no Mass on Friday, July 4 because I will be visiting with family. Likewise, I will be away at a conference from July 7-10, so we will not be having our regular weekday morning Mass on July 8-10. More generally, because the school year has finished, our normal Friday morning Mass will now be at 8:00 for the rest of the summer.
Additionally in July, we will be having our usual donut Sunday on the third Sunday of the month (July 20), because the annual parish summer picnic at the rectory will be happening on the second Sunday (July 13). Please come and join for some food and fellowship at the rectory after the 10:30 Mass that morning. All are certainly welcome! If you come, please consider bringing a dish to share.
Lastly, as a reminder of what I announced last weekend, many parishioners will receive (or maybe already have received) a mailing from the parish office with the updated diocesan policy for parish volunteers pertaining to the protection of youth and vulnerable adults, among other items. If you receive one, please sign the final page and return it to the parish office. As I mentioned last Sunday- if you receive one, it is not because you have done anything wrong. Thanks for you attention to this matter!
Blessings,
Fr. Ammanniti
