Parish Ministries

PRAYER GROUPS

Prayer Groups – small group gatherings dedicated to sharing faith and praying for our community and personal petitions. Groups gather at various times so contact the parish office for more information.

Prayer Chain – we pray for anyone in our parishes or in the community who needs it especially if they are going through difficult times or serious illnesses.

Rosary Leaders – assist in leading the rosary before Mass and communion services.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Liturgy of the Word for Children – a lectionary based approach to religious education for children in kindergarten and first grade. The weekly lessons follow the Sunday Gospels of the Church’s liturgical year.

SICK AND SHUT IN MINISTRIES

Funeral Dinners – minister to grieving families in our parishes by preparing and serving meals after funeral Masses. Part of the ministry includes calling parishioners for donations for the meal.

Homebound Ministry – caring for the spiritual needs of those who are unable to leave their homes. This includes bringing Communion to the homebound.

Hospital Ministry – cares for and distributes Communion to Catholics in the hospital.

Nursing Program – caring for the health needs of parishioners, including taking blood pressures after Mass.
