Bulletin Letter – 2/8/26

February 7-8, 2026

Dear parishioners,

I would like to make you aware of some upcoming expenses that we will need to make for our school.  First, due to daily wear-and-tear, many of our school computers and iPads need to be replaced.  We decided it will be best to accomplish this in a staggered fashion, so that we will replace some before next school year, and then we will replace more the following school year.  Before the start of next school year, we are looking to replace 33 student and teacher devices; these will cost $15,000.  We are very fortunate to have already received $9,000 in donations toward this project.  Thank you to those who made that happen!  If you would like to donate toward the remaining $6,000 that we need, we would greatly appreciate your support!

Another upcoming school expense pertains to our playground equipment.  A few months ago, one of our outdoor basketball backboards shattered.  While the glass is still in the frame, we would like to replace it before we allow the students to use it again.  We reviewed the security camera footage and could not see anyone present at the moment the damage was done.  However, it does appear that something struck the glass in order to cause it.  The cost to replace the backboard is $2,500.  As mentioned above, please let us know if you are willing to help us make this project happen.

On the fundraising side, please be sure to mark your calendar for our annual Bunco Night, which will be taking place on Saturday, February 21 at 6:00 in our school gym.  This year, we will be sporting a tropical theme for the evening.  So, please bring a friend and wear a themed outfit!  There will be prizes throughout the evening.  The event is open to all adults.  Tickets are $30 and all proceeds go to support Divine Mercy School.

Lastly, don’t forget that next Wednesday, February 18, is Ash Wednesday.  We will have the school Mass at 9:15, 12:00 Mass in Paulding, and 7:00p.m. Mass in Payne.  Because the school Mass is on Wednesday next week, that means the morning Mass on Friday, February 20, will be at 8:00.

Blessings,

Fr. Ammanniti
