September 13-14, 2025
Dear parishioners,
Last weekend, I mentioned in my article that our annual golf outing raised enough money to send Divine Mercy School’s 5th and 6th graders to Damascus Catholic Youth Camp. Thank you once again to everyone who made this possible! The students will leave for Damascus this Wednesday, and will return by the end of the school day on Friday. Please offer some prayers for them throughout this week as they pray and learn about how faith and science are very much connected!
Relatedly, I am fortunate that my schedule for this week allows me to join our 5th and 6th graders at Damascus (at no cost to the parish). This means, of course, that I need to make some changes to the weekday Mass schedule this week. I will celebrate the normal Wednesday morning Mass in Paulding, but will head to Damascus immediately thereafter. As such, the Masses scheduled for this Thursday, September 18, and this Friday, September 19, are cancelled. I made this change after the September calendar was already published in the bulletin; my apologies for any confusion or inconvenience in this regard!
Lastly, I would like to offer a word of thanks to Fr. David Kidd for joining us for all of our weekend Masses this weekend. Please continue to pray for him in his important ministry as the director of priestly vocations for our diocese. We currently have 14 seminarians studying for our diocese- please continue to keep them also in your prayers as they prepare for the priesthood! Of those 14, our fifth-Sunday collections for the seminarians will directly provide support for Deacon Andrew Messer, Joshua Horvath, and Austin Pirc.
Blessings,
Fr. Ammanniti
