September 19-20, 2026
Dear parishioners,
A couple weeks ago, I mentioned two upcoming maintenance projects: replacing all the light fixtures at the Paulding Ed. Center/office building and the installation of security cameras at the parish office and the Paulding church. I would like to take a moment to thank the parishioners who donated toward the lights. The cost for this project has now almost completely been received- thank you! The project itself is near completion; the lights in all the offices and classrooms have been switched to single-panel LED’s, which have already brightened these spaces and made them more functional. We are still waiting on the fixtures for the large restrooms at the back of the building, but they should be installed sometime in the next few weeks. As for the security cameras, we were informed that they are on back order.
On a different note, please notice on the parish calendar that we will not be having our normal morning Mass this Thursday, September 24. This is because I will be away at the Diocese of Toledo annual pastoral conference in Toledo. This year’s conference will be focusing on building a culture of holy vocations within parishes. Thanks in advance for making the sacrifice of our usual morning Mass so that I can be at the conference. Please offer some prayers for us as the leadership teams of parishes across the diocese gather for this event!
On yet another note, you might recall that, a month or two ago, I announced at Mass that we are currently working to update our website with a fresh look. This process is moving along, and we are coming closer to the final product, but we are still working out the details and are not yet ready to launch it. We do not have a definite launch date yet, but we are hoping to have it up and running within the next few months. Of course, the goal of this update is not only to spruce up the aesthetics, but also to make it a bit more user friendly. We will try our best to anticipate what will be convenient for everyone, but we recognize that there might be some wrinkles to iron out once we get it up and running.
The wider context for the new website is that we will soon be publishing the bulletin through a different company than our current one. Officially, the change will not happen until February of 2027, when we will switch from Diocesan Publications to Liturgical Publications Inc. Included with LPI’s services is the digital platform for modifying our website. This transition could also mean that our means of communicating day-to-day alerts and updates could look differently as we move forward. This is one of the details we are still working out. No changes have yet been made in this regard. We will be sure to let you know before that happens!
Blessings,
Fr. Ammanniti
