Divine Mercy School September 30, 2015
Dear Parents,
Monday during prayer in the hall we prayed for those fighting cancer that God will grant them strength and healing. We also prayed for farmers, athletes, grandparents and newly baptized babies. God is good!
Our 3rd and 4th graders will host this Friday’s School Mass with Father Poggemeyer. Friday will also be Food Pantry. Food pantry takes place at the first Friday School Mass of every month. Non-perishable items will be placed in a basket on the altar and delivered to the Methodist Church Food Pantry. Thank you for your support.
In honor of the Feast of Saint Francis, Father Poggemeyer will bless pets this Friday, October 2nd, at 2:00 p.m. Pets may be brought to school at 2:00. The ceremony will take place outside. After Father’s blessing, children may go home with their pet.
Divine Mercy’s Parent-Teacher conferences will be held Wednesday, November 18th and Thursday, November 19th.
These later dates allow the teachers to have more time to assess the student’s progress. More information will be sent home at a later date.
Remember there will be no school on Thursday and Friday, October 29th and 30th.
Wayne Trace will be conducting their Parent Teacher Conferences on those days. Since we follow their calendar, we will also not be having school even though our conferences aren’t until November.
Delivery of our fundraiser will be Tuesday, October 13th.
Fall also brings very unpredictable weather. One day it might be 80+ degrees and the next day 50 degrees. Please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately. Pack that extra sweatshirt in the book bag. It may come in handy some day when the temperature takes a nose dive.
