December 21-22, 2024
Dear parishioners,
As we prepare to celebrate the Nativity of the Lord in a few days, I would like to first remind everyone of some practical items. First, please note that this Monday, December 23 is the only day the parish office will be open this week, as we will not be open on the 24th and 26th.
Next, I would like to invite everyone once again to the rectory Open House on Sunday, December 29 at 12:00. As I mentioned a few weeks ago, this is also our “Adoration for Vocations” weekend. As we have in the past, we will expose the Blessed Sacrament after each of the Masses for about 20 minutes to pray for more priests for our diocese. This timing will work perfectly to begin the open house at noon. All are certainly welcome to attend. I hope to see you there!
Also, kindly be reminded that January 1 is the Solemnity of Mary, the Mother of God, and is a Holy Day of Obligation. I will be celebrating Mass on December 31 at 4:00 in Payne, and on January 1 at 10:00 a.m. in Paulding. Please note that there will be no Mass on Thursday, January 2 because I will be with my family. However, we will have Mass on Friday, January 3 in Payne at 8:00 a.m. Of course, our first Saturday Mass on January 4 will be at 8:00 in Paulding.
Blessings to all of you and your loved ones as we celebrate the Nativity of the Lord this week. May Christ’s grace be with you in a special way as we celebrate his birth for our redemption, and may he protect you throughout the new year!
Blessings,
Fr. Ammanniti
