Each year, the Diocese of Toledo celebrates the gift of marriage with the annual Mass on Anniversaries of Marriage. If you are celebrating a milestone wedding anniversary in 2026 – 25, 40, 50, 60, or 60+ years – plan to join Bishop Thomas for the Order of Blessing Married Couples within Holy Mass on Sunday, October 25, 2026 at 3:00pm at Our Lady, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral. Registered couples will receive a commemorative certificate and are invited to a reception following the Mass. To register for this event, simply go to toledoanniversarymass.org and fill in your information. Alternatively, you can call us at the parish office and we can assist you with the registration.
Also in the category of diocesan updates, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Toledo is now accepting applications for the 2026 Century Farm Awards, an annual recognition of Catholic families who have maintained a working farm or homestead for 100 years or more. Catholic Charities invites eligible families to submit applications for this special honor. Catholic families who have maintained a working farm or homestead for a century or more are encouraged to participate in this special recognition of their legacy and commitment. Award recipients will be honored during the annual Mass for Farmers, celebrated by Bishop Thomas on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. at St. Michael Parish in Gibsonburg. Lastly, as we have already advertised in the bulletin, please consider joining our diocesan vocations office for its third annual Walk for Vocations, a five-day walking pilgrimage across the Diocese of Toledo. From September 27 through October 1, Msgr. Tad Oxley, Fr. David Kidd, and Fr. Joseph Mominee will walk more than 70 miles in prayer and sacrifice for an increase in vocations to the diocesan priesthood. You can walk with them for all five days, one day, or even a portion of the journey. Daily routes begin and end at parishes throughout the diocese, concluding with the closing Mass at Our Lady of Consolation in Carey on October 1. By participating, you can make each step a prayer for more priests! If you are unable to walk, please join the pilgrimage through prayer and fasting for vocations.
