June 20-21, 2026
Dear parishioners,
I will be away through Thursday of this week as I will be attending the Diocese of Toledo Priests’ Convocation. As such, there will be no weekday Masses here at our parish Tuesday through Thursday. However, we will have our regular morning Mass on Friday at 8:00. The convocation happens every two years; all the priests of the diocese gather with Bishop Thomas for prayer and a few conferences. This year’s theme is fostering vocations to the priesthood and consecrated life. Please offer some prayers for all of us throughout the week!
I will also be away for the last two weeks of July for some vacation time. During the first of those two weeks, I will be attending a reunion with my ordination classmates from seminary. The second week will be a chance for me to visit with other friends. This means that there will be no weekday Masses from July 21-24, and from July 28-31. Of course, we will still have the weekend Masses at the regular times. However, please note that my flight does not return until sometime on Saturday, August 1. As such, we will not be able to have our 1st Saturday Mass on that day. I will be sure to remind you of all this before I leave.
Also at the end of July, from the 27th through the 30th, will be our annual vacation Bible school. Please contact us at the parish office if you would like to sign up your children to attend. We are very grateful to those who have donated items in the past that were needed for the Bible school activities. Likewise, we are looking for people to help us in the same fashion this year. Please contact us at the parish office if you are interested in pitching in. We can always use more volunteers to help make the program run smoothly, so if you are able and willing, please let us know! This is also a good opportunity for Junior High and High School students to volunteer their help. If the time spent volunteering would count toward any requirements for service hours (e.g. for National Honor Society), then Mrs. Conley or I would be glad to sign any forms in this regard.
Blessings,
Fr. Ammanniti
