July 18-19, 2026
Dear parishioners,
Many thanks to all who came to the parish picnic last Sunday! Special thanks to all of our volunteers who chipped in to make the event happen: those who volunteered to serve the food, the Paulding Knights of Columbus for providing the setup and tear-down crews, as well as the cooks, the parishioner who generously allowed us once again to borrow the tent, and of course, all those who brought a dish for everyone to enjoy!
As you have seen in the bulletin and on our social media pages, Divine Mercy is looking to hire a new finance/business manager. Please spread the word to anyone who would be qualified and might be interested. Anyone interested should send notice and resume to Dianne Jones at djones@dmcparish.com.
I mentioned recently that, with the ordination of Fr. Andrew Messer, Divine Mercy will be supporting another seminarian in place of him. So, in addition to continuing our support for Joshua Horvath and Austin Pirc, we will now be supporting Nick Livecchi as well. Our most recent 5th Sunday 2nd collection for seminarians brought in $819, which will be divided evenly among Josh, Austin, and Nick. Thank you again for your continued support of our seminarians! While I was away at the Diocese of Toledo priests’ convocation a few weeks ago, Josh Horvath approached me personally and asked that I pass on to you his gratitude for the financial support. Please continue to keep the three men above, and all the seminarians of our diocese, in your prayers as they move forward in their formation for the priesthood.
As a reminder, Vacation Bible School will run next Monday, July 27 through Thursday, July 30. It is not too late to sign up or to volunteer your time. If interested in either, please contact us at the parish office.
Lastly, I would like to remind everyone that I will be out of town this week and next week. Therefore, from this Tuesday, July 21, through Saturday, August 1, we will not be having our normal weekday Masses. Please note that this includes the 8:00 1st Saturday Mass on August 1.
Blessings,
Fr. Ammanniti
